Hallo, my name is Nicolette Roelofs
Besides following courses to stay up to date on the latest developments in my field I enjoy long distance trekking to reflect on my personal and professional life. During these long distance walks I’ve learned to really take my time and be patient. What I find most important is to see my clients as they truly are, to not only focus on the big picture or end goals but also on the details. I believe small steps can be equally important as big leaps and that this is essential to effectively supporting my clients. My motto is: ‘take your time’!

After years of working as a manager, trainer and coach for several companies I founded Mensen Trainen & Coachen in 2003. I work with national and international companies of all sizes as well as providing services to individual clients. My strengths lie in supporting people and organizations in their development and growth.

Personal Coaching revolves around setting and achieving concrete and realistic goals. You will learn to recognize and appreciate your own qualities and how to effectively apply them. We will also focus on giving you methods to better deal with your pitfalls and (negative) emotions. I use several methods depending on the needs and situation of the client. Some possible focus points are:
• Dealing with emotions and conflicts
• Balancing professional and private life
• Making the most of your qualities and talents

Career coaching
Do you have doubts regarding your career path? It may be time to take a step back and take a good look at what kind of career you really want and suits you. If you find you’re having trouble coming to meaningful conclusions then career coaching can help. I have been helping people with this process for nearly 20 years. By making a career plan together and doing specific assignments you will gain valuable insight into your qualities and motivations, what energizes you and what type of organization best suits you.
Burn-out coaching
One in six people show burn-out symptoms due to a (too) high workload. We often forget that even professional athletes can’t compete every day. For the last few years the number of people reporting burn-out symptoms has steadily increased. I have been educated as a certified mindfulness trainer and have designed courses to specifically help those with burn-out symptoms. During these courses we will combine personal coaching as well as mindfulness exercises.
Corporate coaching
It’s necessary for organisations to be able to effectively respond to changes in our society. Having employees that are flexible and pro-active as well as continuing to learn and develop themselves is essential to achieve this.
Mensen Trainen & Coachen supports teams during this process through team coaching whilst keeping the best interests of the team in mind.
Coaching on the job
During this coaching I will tag along during your everyday work. I will join meetings, discussions and other gatherings and will act as a ‘fly on the wall’. At the end of the day I will provide feedback regarding possible issues, behaviour and communication skills. We will evaluate your effective as well as less effective behaviour.
Coaching on the Job is designed to give you insights into:

Executive coaching
CEO’s might not be directly involved in directing other colleagues but face other challenges. How to stay sharp? Who do you confide in with regards to any doubts, questions or ideas you may have? How do you assay new ideas and who is able to provide constructive feedback? As an independent coach I can help you gain valuable insights by holding up a mirror and asking penetrating questions.

Once an organisation decides they are in need of training we will start with an introduction at no cost. During the introduction we will discuss why a training would be useful as well as defining the type of training that best meets your needs.
When designing a training I always interview a number of participants beforehand to listen to their needs so that we can be sure the course has broad support with the participants. I have many years of experience as a coach and trainer in organizations of all sizes. I get to the point quickly and I’m not afraid to ask confronting questions.
When could a training

Do you encounter apathy, change fatigue or disappointment among employees and management within your organisation? It’s important for people within organisations and teams to be able to rely upon each other. For an optimal working environment employees should feel heard and free to openly discuss things. Taking personal responsibility and ownership is essential to this process. For most of us this isn’t easy but training can help. They project enthusiasm and should inspire and instill confidence in their subordinates. As a leader you should be able to adjust your leadership style to the individual needs of an employees. Because of this approach the course is highly valued by the participants and motivates them to instill real change.
